Advantages
- Combined action of catechins and gingerol to activate you without any surprises.
- Easy to adjust to taste: more ginger for a spicy kick or less tea to soften the body.
- Quick to prepare, perfect for a morning break.
Disadvantages
- Ginger can irritate sensitive stomach muscles if overused.
- Honey is optional, but it eliminates the vegan profile if added.
- The lemon makes it best consumed freshly made, not suitable for storage.
Energy Infusion
Ingredients
- 1 level tablespoon of yerba mate or mate tea leaves
- ½ teaspoon powdered ginseng root
- 4 leaves of fresh mint or spearmint
- 1 slice of ginger or a pinch of dried ginger
How to prepare it
- Preheat 200 ml of water to 80°C and pour it over the yerba mate in a teapot or infuser. Let it steep for 4 minutes.
- Stir in the powdered ginseng and ginger; cover and let steep for another 3 minutes.
- Add the mint leaves and wait 1 more minute to soften and perfume the mixture.
- It's served by thoroughly filtering out all the solids; you can repeat the infusion with the same material a couple of times to take advantage of the compounds.
Advantages
- High concentration of mateine and adaptogens to maintain alertness until the afternoon.
- Mint that refreshes and reduces any digestive discomfort after drinking mate.
- Suitable for hot rituals and can also be transformed into cold brew (allowing everything to rest in the cold for 6 hours).
Disadvantages
- Strong, earthy flavor, may take practice to adjust to.
- Ginseng interacts with blood-thinning medications; consult your doctor.
- Two-phase preparation requires more attention to thermal control.
Power Brew

- Pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of agave syrup or honey of your choice
- 180 ml of hot water at 75 °C
How to prepare it

- Add a small splash of hot water and beat with the bamboo whisk (chasen) until you get a light green foam.
- Pour in the remaining water, add the agave syrup and stir gently.
- Finish with black pepper on top to activate the curcumin and enhance its absorption.

- Matcha provides L-theanine and time-release caffeine for prolonged focus.
- Turmeric and pepper add anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
- Smooth and creamy texture reminiscent of a green latte, ideal as a study or meditation complement.
Disadvantages
